David’s Bio
I am 46 years old and was born with Severe Hemophilia A. My blood clotting level is less than 1 percent – normally this is 100%. This has created a few interesting situations as I have navigated through life ……
Years ago I began to write an autobiography but eventually wondered who in the world might ever be inclined to read such a thing. I decided instead to start a blog dedicated to hemophilia. I wanted the blog to focus on some of the courageous individuals living with this difficult disease – a place for them to tell their incredible stories.
Hemophilia continues to shape my life and challenge me in ways that to most seem unimaginable, but in a weird way, the disease has also managed to cultivate and magnify the sweetest joys that life has to offer.
Today, I live a wonderful life with my family of five in Bountiful Utah. I have been married for 13 incredible years to my gorgeous wife Amy. We have three crazy kids who are the spice of our lives.
I am a part owner and marketing director for a family business. Currently serving on the board for The Utah Hemophilia Foundation and as Co-Chair of the Fore-A-Cure Utah Hemophilia Golf Tournament. I am very passionate about our foundation and extremely grateful for the wonderful opportunity to serve with so many dedicated people.
